NCART & NRRTS
September 13 CRT Virtual
Congressional Fly-In

Join Other Advocates for Important Complex Rehab Technology (CRT) Conversations with Congress

NCART and NRRTS proudly host the 2023 CRT Virtual Congressional Fly-In. This annual event allows Complex Rehab Technology (CRT) suppliers, manufacturers, clinicians, consumers, and others to meet directly with their Members of Congress via Zoom video conferencing to discuss actions that must be taken to protect access to CRT for people with disabilities.

Once you register, we will match you with a team of advocates from your state and schedule Congressional meetings for you. Talking points and other information for your meetings will be provided during the mandatory prep webinar on September 6. We'll also hold state practice sessions with your state team on September 11 so you can feel fully prepared and ready to make the most of your meetings on September 13.

What Are We Asking Congress For?

1. To Better Understand the Unique Nature of CRT

2. To Support Policies and Legislation That Protect and Enhance Access to CRT (More Details Coming Soon)

3. To Support Ongoing Action to establish Medicare Coverage of Power Seat Elevation and Standing Systems

Why Should You Attend ?

Congress is an indispensable ally to protecting access to CRT. Without constituents coming together to share the challenges at hand, Congress will not fully grasp how CRT maximizes independence and protects the health of the individuals who depend on it.

Reminding Congress about the importance of appropriate access to CRT is a message that needs to be delivered now more than ever. Join us on September 13 to ensure these policy influencers truly understand the importance of access to CRT!

What is CRT?

Complex Rehab Technology, or CRT, includes medically necessary, individually configured power and manual wheelchairs, custom seating and positioning systems, standing devices, and more. This category of adaptive equipment requires evaluation by a clinical team and credentialed providers, configuration, fitting, adjustment and/or programming. These products and services are designed to meet the unique medical, physical, and functional needs of a specific individual with a primary diagnosis resulting from a congenital disorder, progressive or degenerative neuromuscular disease, or from certain types of injury or trauma.
